What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care focuses on the attention, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness who is approaching the end of life.

Who Pays for Hospice Care?

The Medicare Hospice Benefit covers the full cost of hospice care including a hospice team to help take care of you.
Utah Medicaid has a hospice benefit for patients who qualify for regular Medicaid benefits. Utah Medicaid pays for the same hospice services as Medicare. In addition, room and board in a skilled care facility or assisted living community may be covered through Medicaid.
In most cases, private insurance plans provide a hospice benefit. Deductibles, co-pays and limits of coverage are set by your individual policy. Elevation Hospice Care of Utah admissions department will verify your eligibility for hospice care under your private insurance policy and advise you of any limits that may apply.

Palliative care is meant for patient suffering from chronic illness and provides needed symptom relief and pain management.

They love their patients and treat them with the most amazing care and respect of anyone I have seen.  They are so easy to work with, and I can call them and they will have someone out within an hour.  I would definitely recommend Elevation hospice to anyone wanting a hospice team that will love your loved ones as much as you do and provide the best care they could possibly get. read less

I don’t know how I could’ve gotten through my husband’s passing without them. When they first came in to care for my husband they came in with smiles, courtesy and concern. When my husband passed, they left like they were family. I will be forever grateful for their services. No better care anywhere.
